As the boys continue their tour across the United States we caught up with Liam ahead of a recent show in Albany, New York. Liam takes a stroll through downtown Albany and meets some fans too

Cute looking Louis is originally from Doncaster and used to attend The Hayfield School before becoming a sixth form student at Hall Cross School.

In 2010, Louis auditioned for the seventh series of The X Factor with the song "Hey There Delilah", which received three votes.

Louis made it through to boot camp where he joined up with Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Niall Horan to form One Direction.

Under Simon Cowell’s guidance the group finished third overall and since the show have secured a record deal and are currently one of the biggest boy bands on the planet.

Smooth and almost air-brushed in his looks, Zayn Malik is a member of X Factor finalists One Direction.

Growing up in Bradford, Zayn attended Tong High School, during which time he auditioned for the seventh series of The X Factor in 2010. His audition was not broadcast initially on the show but was shown after the series ended on companion show The Xtra Factor.

At the show’s bootcamp stage Zayn teamed up with the other current members of One Direction, Harry Styles from Cheshire, Liam Payne from Wolverhampton, Niall Horan from Mullingar in Ireland and Louis Tomlinson from Doncaster.

The group have now secured mega-stardom and are going from strength to strength in the music world.

They have extremely passionate fans throughout the UK and beyond, and we are sure that there is still a lot more to come from Zayn and the boys.

Baby-faced and blessed with the kind of curls young girls go crazy over, Harry Styles is the youngest member of X Factor finalists One Direction. It was Harry himself who came up with that pretty terrible band name apparently.

Born in Cheshire, while studying at Homes Chapel comprehensive school in Holmes Chapel, Harry tried auditioning for the seventh series of The X Factor in 2010. He was unsuccessful as a solo auditionee, but at the recommendation of guest judge Nicole ‘Don’tcha wish your girlfriend was hot like me’ Scherzinger, was teamed up with several other contestants to form One Direction and enter the group category of the show.

His fellow bandmates are Liam Payne from Wolverhampton, Niall Horan from Mullingar in Ireland, Zayn Malik from Bradford and Louis Tomlinson from Doncaster. They are all in their teens, they are all incredibly cute, and their faces are currently plastered all over the walls of teen and tweens up and down the country.

It has always been Liam Payne’s dream to be an international recording artist, after he first sang in public at the age of just 5. Liam grew up in Wolverhampton and studied music technology at the City of Wolverhampton College.

He first auditioned for the fifth series of The X Factor in 2008 in Birmingham, and narrowly missed out on competing in the live finals after being selected to attend the judges houses.

Simon Cowell thought Liam was not ready for the competition back then and asked him to come back in a couple of years.

Liam did return two years later and his audition song "Cry Me a River" received a standing ovation from the audience and Simon. He was teamed up with fellow band members Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Liam Tomlinson and Niall Horan to form One Direction.

The band finished third overall and secured a record deal with Simon’s music label SyCo.

Since the show One Direction have become huge and their upward spiral looks set to continue for some time.
